Firstan produce Food Packaging to the highest standards and have BRC accreditation. BRC/IOP: The British Retail Consortium / Institute of Packaging (BRC/IOP) Global Standard for Packaging has been developed jointly, and sets out hygiene and quality requirements for packaging manufacturers.
Developed by the BRC (the British Retail Consortium, a UK trade organization that represents the interests of the UK retailers) in conjunction with the Institute of Packaging, the BRC/IoP Global Standard – Food Packaging and Other Packaging Materials, was developed to assist retailers and food manufacturers to meet their legal obligations. The standard provides a common basis for the certification of companies supplying packaging for food products to retailers.
